BBNajia’s ChiChi Hits Phyna With 100 Million Naira Lawsuit For Defamation Of Character
Winner of the BBNajia season 7 show, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly referred to as Phyna, has been hit with a 100 Million naira lawsuit for defamation of character by her colleague and former housemate, ChiChi.
Pyna having previously made a series of allegations against the 22-year old Edo-born ChiChi during the recently concluded Big Brother Naija 2023 Reunion Show, as well as during her Snapchat live with fans.
Phyna had claimed Chichi, whose real name is Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, was much older than she claimed, even stating the reality star was older than most of the Season 7 housemates. Phyna claimed Chichi was about 33 years of age. The actress also claimed Chichi abandoned her children, leaving them in Benin, with the abandonment and neglect causing the death of one of the children.
Phyna had claimed Multichoice was favouring ChiChi during the show. She also claimed parts of the show were cut where she was body-shamed, whilst receiving death threats. Phyna, via her Snapchat post, claimed that ChiChi did her liposuction for 3.5 million naira, then went on to poison her friend out of jealousy, back in Cyprus, before making her return to Nigeria.
Having taking all the claims in, ChiChi has hit back with a lawsuit response, through her solicitor, having described Phyna’s allegation as untrue, slanderous, and malicious to her brand and what she represents.
Within the lawsuit, ChiChi demanded a public apology from Phyna, a hundred million naira compensation, and a clause ensuring her former housemate desists from making further libelous statements of the same manner regarding her.
