Award-winning Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has celebrated her fast-rising junior colleague, Bimbo Ademoye, as she breaks her AMVCA records.
Recall that Bimbo was announced as the winner of the category last night, beating the Omo Ghetto crooner, Mercy Johnson, and Bisola Aiyeola, among others.
The award was no surprise to fans, as many were anticipating Bimbo Ademoye’s win at the awards ceremony. She beats Funke Akindele’s remarkable five-time record for the same category.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the organisers of the show revealed that they were thrilled to announce the fast-rising actress as the winner.
