Jubilation As Jim Iyke Gets Chieftaincy Title In Ghana
Nollywood actor and movie director, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, 45, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has bagged a chieftaincy title in his neighboring country, Ghana.
The actor known for staring in blockbuster movies was conferred with the title “OHADIKE 1 OF NDIGBO” by HRH Dr AMB. Chuwudi J Ihenetu, Ezi Ndibgo Ghana.
Actor Jim Iyke was conferred with the Chieftaincy title on the occasion of the 10th Yam Festival, which took place on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
According to HRM Dr AMB. Chuwudi J Ihenetu, Ezi Ndibgo, the father of three, was conferred with the title in recognition of his tremendous achievements and contribution to the African entertainment industry and the Igbo people.
With this new recognition, Jim Iyke joins the list of Nigerian celebrities that have been conferred with Chieftaincy titles.
Also in 2018, a few Nigerian celebrities were conferred with Chieftaincy titles, including singer D’banj and BBNaija Star, Teddy A.
TV personality, Teddy A, was conferred with Asojuomo of Iyere Owo by the Kabiyesi Oliyere of Iyere Owo.
While Nigerian Idol Host, D’banj was conferred with the title of “Enyi Ka Nwanne” of Amuzi Obowol Autonomous Community in Imo State.
Big Brother Naija season 6 ‘Shine Ya Eye’ winner, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, was also conferred with a Chieftaincy title of Ozopuru Ini Ego 1 of Udi Kingdom, his hometown, shortly after he emerged as the winner of the show in November 2021.
