Madonna Attends Rema’s Show In New York

American singer Madonna, called Rema a “great performer” when they met backstage at his recent show in New York.

A video shared by a Rema fan account on social media shows the two singers hugging each as Madonna praised the Nigerian singer as a talented young star.

“I’m so inspired… You’re so motivational,” Rema replied.

 

 

 

This comes after the release of Rema’s song with another American singer, Selena Gomez. The two collaborated on a remix for his song “Calm Down” which has been favourably received.

 

While Madonna collaborated with another young Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML on the remix for her 1998 classic“Frozen.”

Speaking about the collaboration with media personality Adesope Olajide, Fireboy DML revealed that Madonna reached out to him after listening to his debut album “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps.”

She has been a fan since 2019 when LTG (Laughter, Tears And Goosebumps) dropped actually,” he explained.

“I saw her, she used one of my songs in her videos in 2019 and I reached out to her.

“I am like ‘thank you so much ma’am. This is such a honourable thing, I felt honoured’ and that was it.

“And then 2022, she hit me up on Instagram like ‘yo, I want a remix of my classic and I want you to be on it’.

“I’m like ‘What? Wow. this is crazy’.

“We went back and forth, video calls bla bla bla. We did the record and it was amazing.

“I’m just really honoured to be on that record.
