Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro got her start as a beauty queen, winning the Miss Black USA Pageant in 2010. After which she scored a number of minor roles in Hollywood productions like “Cadillac Records”
Since making her Nollywood in Adanna (Danni) on the tv show “Tinsel” the Nigerian-American beauty has being consistently ranked as one of the best and most popular actresses in the industry.
And it’s easy to see why as she has acting credits across several critically-acclaimed film, tv and theatre productions like including “King of Boys” “Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story” “Shuga” and the Nigerian adaptation of “For Coloured Girls”
Osas Ighodaro also bagged a number of awards including Best Actress in a Drama at 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), Best Actress (TV) at the 2014 Eloy Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA).
It’s not all been smooth sailing for the star however, as her 2015 marriage to “Tinsel” co-star Gbenro Ajibade ended in a messy divorce in 2015.
Gbenro has repeatedly accused her of neglecting their daughter Azariah, though she has never publicly responded to the comments.
