Nengi Reacts To Reports Of Her Range Rover Being Confiscated By The EFCC
Former Big Brother Naija star Nengi, has responded to the rumours about her Range Rover being confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over links to a Ponzi Scheme.
The 24-year-old broke her silence over the matter on Wednesday, branding it the work of some Twitter influencers who are paid to drag her.
“Wake up ooo.. I say make I remind una.. it’s a new day to drag NENGI ,” she tweeted.
You can’t be tired already .. where’s all dem PAID twitter influencers.. NO POST TODAY??”
According to a popular blogger, the car which Nengi bought in July last year, was actually a gift from billionaire businessman Michael Diongoli, who is now under investigation by the EFCC for operating a Ponzi Scheme.
The Punch reports that Diangoli was arraigned Federal High Court in Lagos State for allegedly defrauding a retired Army colonel, two professors, a co-operative society, among others of the sum of N1, 286, 580, 656.
The defendant who faces eight counts of conspiracy, obtained by false pretences and fraud, was arraigned before Justice Lewis-Allagoa alongside his two firms UK-Don Group and UK-Dion Investment Limited.
Following his arrest, several of his properties were seized by the police and according to a post shared by the blogger, Nengi’s car was one of them.
