Last Respect: Here Are The Celebrities Who Attended Ada Ameh’s Burial In Her Hometown
The remains of veteran actress, Ada Ameh, who was well-known for her role as ‘Emuakpor’ of The Johnsons, was laid to rest in her hometown, Ogobia, Otukpo in Benue State on August 26, 2022.
Recall that a video that shows the moment her body arrived at her compound in Benue was first made public by the co-star of the Johnsons, Charles Inojie.
The funeral ceremony, which started on August 19th with a novelty match and candle light procession continued through August 25th -26th with family, friends, and colleagues came out in their numbers to bid the Nollywood sweetheart farewell.
It started with a night of tribute, which featured different activities, including a dance presentation, a comedy show, and tributes from friends, colleagues, and family members, before she was finally laid to rest on August 26, 2022.
Nollywood actor, Charles Inojie, who is known for portraying the role of Ada’s husband in The Johnson’s, was very noticeable as he anchored some of the major activities during the burial ceremony.
He was responsible for the Candle Night procession’s success and assisted in the night of tribute comedy in honor of Ada Ameh’s life on Earth.
Other notable attendees at Ada’s funeral includes comedian senator Dan from the TV show ‘My Flat Mates,’ her colleagues who was visibly shaken by her death, and Empress Njamah was present as she shared video from the funeral on Instagram.
Other stars of The Johnsons, including Good Luck, Samuel Ajibola (Spiff), Chinedu Ikedieze (Efe) Olumide Oworo (Tari), Nancy Philip (Nneoma) and a host of other stars were also present at Ada’s funeral.
Ada Ameh was born on May 15, 1974 in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Two years ago, she lost her only daughter, Aladi God gift Ameh. The late actress revealed that she was battling with mental health-related issues before her demise.
She died on July 17, 2022 in Warri, Delta State, after she reportedly slumped.
