Mercy Johnson Celebrates Her 11th Wedding Anniversary With A Family Shoot (Photos)
Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson and her husband Prince Odi Okojie celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary today.
The couple and their four children looked incredible in matching blue Aso Oke outfits in pictures posted to social media to celebrate the milestone.
Mercy and the girls wore dresses made out of fabric with matching headgear while Prince Okojie and the boys wore a dashiki and matching trousers.
They were all accessorized with red coral bead necklaces and bracelets while Mercy added pointy silver heels and a matching clutch purse to her outfit.
“Today 11 years ago. It can only be God. Thanking God for his mercies, provision, and protection.
Happy traditional wedding anniversary to us. 26th, 27th & 28th. If you know you know. @mercyjohnsonokojie I gat you forever,” Prince Okojie promised on Instagram.
“Chapter 11 @princeokojie held my hands and promised never to let it go. We are still fresh like yesterday. Thank you, Lord,” his wife wrote in her post.
Prince Okojie opened up about the secret to their happy marriage in a 2018 interview: “With the level of the break-up of marriages among celebrities, I think is a matter of choice. Me, when I met my wife, I knew she is meant for me. The love, affection, the tender are all present, although we might have some misunderstanding when we sleep over it, we move on.
“My wife is my best friend, I hold her in high esteem and due to this, we don’t quarrel often when we do, we learn from it and move on.
“I have a very big house, my wife has a very big room and so do I, but she has never spent a night in her room. Sometimes, when I tease her that she should go to her room, she tells me ”this is our room not your room”. So most times we are always together, I have never experienced anything like this, my marriage to her is so sweet and I’m really happy about it.
“I don’t watch any of her movies to avoid emotions of seeing her doing things that are required of her on set.”
