Nigerian ace label boss, Don Jazzy on Tuesday evening welcomed a new singer, Oladokun Abimbola Elijah, professionally known as Bayanni to Mavins Records and the new kid has been creating a buzz amongst listeners.

Fans who are already familiar with the new artist because of his viral freestyle videos are ecstatically elated about his new journey.

Nigerians are optimistic that he will become the next big thing in the Nigerian music industry under Mavin Academy.

1. Born Oladokun Abimbola Elijah, Bayanni is a young Nigerian singer-songwriter. He started making music using non-typical beats that helped grow his diversity. Surprisingly, his room was his mini studio since he couldn’t afford a studio session.

2. Prior to his signing to Mavin Records, the youngster was formerly known for being a freestyler. He started posting a series of freestyle videos on his social media as far back as 2016..

Bayanni has been consistent in pursuing his dream of becoming a successful music star and has made a freestyle video of Peruzzi’s Gunshot, Lilkesh and Mayorkun’s Nkanbe, Put In Pressure by Reekado Banks, Fireboy Peru, amongst others.

On October 15, 2021, Bayanni shared another mind-blowing freestyle to Davido’s song, Jowo, which became a turning point for him. He soon got a reasonable level of fame after the video went viral on social media.

Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy would later reach out to the youngsters following the release of Davido’s Jowo freestyle and Peru by Fireboy after many touted him to be the next big thing in the music industry.

3. Bayanni was unveiled as Mavin Records New Acts on August 23, 2022.

4. Before the name Bayanni, he was formerly known as Zhenoboy and changed his stage name to Bayanni following his record deal with Mavin Records.

Word on the street has it that he had to drop his former name due semblance with Marlian Music’s Zinolessky

5. He is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University. Details about his field of studies and year of studiy are not yet available, but will be updated soon.

6. Bayanni was born on June 25. His year of birth is also private at the time of this writing.

7. He already has a unique name for his supporters and fans called the Bayanni Angels.

8. On August 22, 2022, Bayanni released his first EP title BAYANNI under Mavin Records, just hours after Don Jazzy unveiled him as the record label newest act.
