Bourdillon to Eko Hotel is just an 18 mins drive – Nigerians react to Tinubu’s absence at the NBA Conference 2022

Nigerians have criticized the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu, over his absence at this year’s edition of  the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Conference.

Tinubu was represented by his running mate Kashim Shettima while the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, was there in person as was Atiku Abubakar, who is running for president under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Twitter users pointed out that Tinubu has no  excuse to miss the conference since he lives in Bourdillion road in Ikoyi,  which is an 18 minute drive from Eko Hotel and Suits where the conference is being held.

“From Bourdillon, Tinubu’s house to Eko hotel where the NBA Conference is holding is 18 an minutes by car, but Tinubu choose to send Kashim Shettima from Borno to represent him at the NBA conference,” noted ne user.

“Can someone from APC explain to me like we are 5years old why unlike other invited ones, the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is being represented by Senator Kashim Shettima at the 62nd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association?,” asked another user.

Another user tweeted: “Why is Kashim Shettima the one representing Tinubu at the NBA Conference. Is it that Tinubu cannot come by himself? Is Shettima the presidential candidate of the APC?

But we know the answer, Baba doesn’t want to disgrace himself again. Your lunch will not be imported…”
