Mercy Chinwo’s response to Nathaniel Bassey’s advice on setting social media boundaries during marriage stirs reactions
Fans have been commenting on gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey’s sense of humour after his latest with interaction with newlywed Mercy Chinwo on Instagram.
Nathaniel, 41, posted a picture of the gospel singer and her new husband Pastor Blessed congratulating them on their wedding. She thanked him in the comment section of the post, writing: “Thank you sir @nathanielblow. I celebrate the amazing gift that you are.”
The trumpeter was apparently not expecting a reply so soon from the new bride as he joked that she should be “in the inner chambers of the moon with your dear husband attending unto holy and ‘blessed’ things…”
His comment did not escape the notice of other users as they flooded the post with funny comments and laughing emojis.
Singer Joe Praise noted that he had “preached the needed gospel” while another user wrote: “Pastor Nath I love your sense of humour.”
“When I saw the reply I was like, ahhh they are not in honeymoon?” asked a third user.
Nathaniel Bassey knows a thing or two about taking some time off with one’s partner himself. In March 2021 he announced that he would not be taking any phone calls because he was ‘escaping’ with his wife Sarah with whom he shares two children.
