Kizz Daniel’s Management Gutted Over Singer’s Arrest In Tanzania
Nigerian music executive, Paul Okoye has reacted to Kizz Daniel’s recent arrest by the Tanzanian Police after he failed to show up for a music gig he was billed for.
Paul O as fondly called heads the management team of the Buga Crooner who booked the show for the singer in the East African Country. The show promoter Steven Uwa explained that the 28-year-old refused to perform because his luggage, which contained his gold chain, had not been delivered.
‘He only said the airline didn’t bring his bag, that is why he didn’t perform and he had a gold chain on his neck… I bought him different clothes ‘ I spent nothing less than three hundred thousand dollars on that show,’ he told media personality, Daddy Freeze.
While buttressing his point, he noted that Paul Okoye stayed up late at night to persuade Kizz Daniel to attend the show he was paid for already but all to no avail.
Taking to his Instagram page a few hours after the singer’s arrest, Paul Okoye shared disappointing smileys, suggesting his exasperation at Kizz Daniel.
The 28-year-old was however released from the Tanzanian police custody a few hours after his arrest. This is according to a statement posted to Twitter by the Nigeria Diaspora Commission explained that the ‘Buga’ singer will return to Nigeria today while his legal team will take over the case.
‘Kizz Daniel @KizzDaniel has been released. His legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria,’ it reads.
Kizz Daniel signed an exclusive management deal with One African Global Management in January 2022, a few months after releasing his critically acclaimed Barnabas EP.
