Singer Davido has asked the governor of Osun State Gboyega Oyetola, congratulate his uncle Ademola Adeleke who is the state governor-elect.
The ‘Stand Strong’ singer also reminded Oyetola that his uncle congratulated him he after he lost to him in the 2018 elections even though it was ‘stolen’
‘Your excellency sir @GboyegaOyetola when will you congratulate the Incoming governor of your state @AAdeleke_01 … in 2018 my uncle congratulated you even though it was stolen … do the right thing baba .. one love,’ he tweeted.
Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), defeated the incumbent Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , polling a total of 403,371 votes against Oyetola’s 375,027 votes.
Davido and his cousin, B-Red son of the governor-elect, have publicly shown their support for Adeleke, sharing updates about the polls with their social media followers.
Soon after the results were announced, they shared their excitement on Twitter with Davido dedicating the victory to God and the people of Osun State.
He wrote, “God won. Osun won. You won. We all won! Imole Deeeeee
The father of three also said that he put his career on hold for his uncle’s campaign but is ready to go back to music following his victory.
