Drake Tests Positive for Covid, Postpones Young Money Reunion

Canadian rapper, Drake has been forced to pull out of Monday night’s Young Money reunion concert after testing positive for Covid-19.

The 35-year-old rapper was due to appear at the October World Weekend festival in his hometown of Toronto, Canada on Monday evening.

‘I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the soonest date possible,’ he wrote on Instagram Stories.

He was to be joined Young Money label mates Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne to mark their first on-stage reunion in a few years.

This year’s October World: Road to OVO Fest Tour is the 10th edition of the OVO Fest organized by Drake.

The three-day event held in Toronto, Canada had been put on hold since 2019 due to the pandemic.

Chris Brown, Lil Baby and the All Canadian North Stars headlined the first two nights of the 2022 edition while Young Money reunion previously set to close the festival.

Drake surprised fans when he kicked off his performance on day one of the festival by bringing out fellow Canadian, Nelly Furtado, has not publicly performed on stage since 2017.

‘This right here took a lot … this next person’s music changed my life so much. I love her with all my heart so when she comes out here you better show her some f***ing love too,’he said.

Nelly made her entrance while performing her hit song ‘Promiscuous’ with crowd joining in.
