The chairman of the Lagos State branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has publicly shown his support for singer, Portable as he wades his latest controversy.
This comes after the Lagos State police command on Monday confirmed that it was investigating the artiste after he caught on camera boasting that he was the founder of the notorious cult group, One Million Boys.
Oluomo threw his weight behind the embattled ‘Zazuu Zeh’ singer when he visited him in his home. In a video shared on social media on Friday, Oluomo warns Lagosians against preventing Portable from accessing any part of the state.
He also boasts that he controls parts of Lagos State including Oshodi, Agege and Lekki and would therefore protect him.
On Thursday, the police confirmed that Portable, who’s real name is Habeeb Okikiola, would be arrested over his comments about the cult group which terrorized parts of Lagos state during the lockdown, after investigations are concluded.
The force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, told the Daily Trust, ‘We are still doing preliminary investigation and afterwards he will have to report himself (to the police) or we will get him arrested.’
