The clime in Nigeria seems to be getting tougher and even the rich are now exploring options to seek greener pastures abroad. Despite having a booming career in Nigeria, some of our celebrities have decided to move their families out of the country while they still make their ends meet back home.
1 Timi Dakolo
Singer, Timi Dakolo returned home from a trip to surprise his family, and his son, Alexander was so overwhelmed with emotion, that he burst into tears as soon he saw his father. The 41-year-old shared the video of him surprising his wife, Busola, and his three kids, Alexander, Hallel, and Zoe on Instagram on Wednesday.
”I didn’t tell them I was coming. Told @busoladakolo I don’t when (sic) I am coming and that she should come pick something downstairs,” he captioned the post which begins with him opening the door to find his first daughter, Hallel.
The star who plies his trade mostly in Nigeria makes out time to visit his family tucked away in greener pastures.
2. Bolanle Ninalowo
Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo moved back from the United States to pursue his acting career in Nigeria. A few years later, he reunited with his family and they stayed in the country for a few years till they moved back to their base in the United States.
3. Omoni Oboli
Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli is blessed with four boys from her marriage to her Canada based .The actress shuttles between Nigeria and the North American country to ply her trade and ensure she’s not staying away from her family
4. Okunnu
Comic Nollywood actor Wale Akorede aka Okunnu has relocated his wife and children to Canada.
The actor who has been shuttling between Canada and Nigeria a year after moving abroad has finally returned home, leaving his beautiful wife and kids behind.
Relocation of family members abroad has now become a trend among Nollywood stars. Another top actor who relocated his family to Toronto is Muyiwa Ademola.
Peter And Paul Okoye

One of the biggest voices rooting for the Peter Obi campaign may have had their contingency plans in check as it appears that their families no longer domicile in Nigeria.
A check on Lola Okoye’s social media page shows that Mr. P’s wife and kids, Cameron, 13 and Aliona, 9 spend most of their time in the United States. Paul Okoye on the other hand whose marriage is reportedly in shambles has his wife, Anita Okoye and three kids in the United States.
