Osun Election: Davido Calls Out INEC for Failing to Present CoR to Ademola Adeleke
Nigerian singer, Davido has called out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for failing to present the Certificate of Return to his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the 2022 Osun State gubernatorial election.
The 29-year-old took to Twitter on Monday to slam the commission for the delay, pointing out that it could be interpreted as an attempt to change the results.
“ 48hrs after our @AAdeleke_01 victory at the Osun Gubernatorial elections, we are yet to receive our certificate.
@inecnigeria should we send you fuel money? LOL Please no one should tamper with the will of the Osun People! Issue the certificate as required by Law!,” he tweeted.

The artiste and his cousin, B-Red son of the governor-elect, have publicly shown their support for Adeleke, sharing updates about the polls with their social media followers.
Soon after the results were announced, they shared their excitement on Twitter with Davido dedicating the victory to God and the people of Osun State.
He wrote, “God won. Osun won. You won. We all won! Imole Deeeeee ❤️.”

Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), defeated the incumbent Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , polling a total of 403,371 votes against Oyetola’s 375,027 votes.
