This is not the first time that footballers have publicly shown their love for the Port-Harcourt native’s music.
In October 2020, England Manchester United star Jadon Sancho introduced his song ‘Bad Influence’ to British entertainers YungFilly and Chunkz when he played the song during a game of ‘Guess the Song.’
Omah Lay then took to Twitter to express his appreciation to Sancho, writing, “Thank you @Sanchooo10 💜💜… This just made my day!!!”
The 25-year-old singer has been sharing details about his debut album.
He recently admitted that he struggled with depression, heartbreak and suicidal thoughts while recording it, adding that they become worse after he slept with his therapist.
As for the album title, he revealed that he chose it because it is a reflection of who he is, especially as regards his inability to make friends easily.
