Burna Boy has apparently made more money from his raving hit, Last Last than from every other song in his career. The 31-year-old Grammy winner made the revelation while shopping for sneakers with Kick Game UK.

In the video posted on the store’s YouTube channel, he also clarified his earlier statement about Toni Braxton making 60% of the earnings from the song.

“It’s normal. It’s not 60% of the whole thing. Just a little part. I’ve actually made more money from that song than from any other song in my whole career,” he explained.

Burna sampled Toni’s 2000 song, Wasn’t Man Enough on Last Last which has been hailed as the song of the Summer after topping charts around the world.

In an earlier interview with the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, he revealed that it was his idea to sample the song and gave a breakdown of how much of the song’s earnings goes to Toni.

“I always wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopstix could do something crazy with it. I just pointed that sh-t out and he took it from there. That’s one of the most special creative processes ever, but she is taking 60 percent of the sh-t,” he told the hosts.

This sparked a conversation on social media about just how much some of the biggest names in Afrobeats make from their music.
