Nigerian singer, Davido has congratulated co-star cum politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W after he secured the PDP primaries ticket to represent the party as the House of Representatives candidate in the upcoming 2023 elections.
The music star on Monday won by a total of 28 votes while his opponent won just three votes. A total of 140 aspirants contest PDP tickets for the 40 seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly, while 85 candidates are vying for the state’s 24 House of Representatives seats. Premium Times reports.
Taking to Instagram, Davido congratulated Banky and declared his support as he sets eyes on a legislative role come 2023.
