Angel Smith, a former Big Brother Naija season 6 contestant, has spoken up about her brief tenure at the University of Lagos (Unilag)

The reality TV star revealed that she was only at the institution for two weeks before leaving due to a s£xual assault encounter.

In an interview with media personality Taymesan, which was published on Friday, she stated this.

” I was just at UNILAG for two weeks I battled so much for those two weeks because it was my first s£xual assault encounter when I got into UNILAG, ” she explained.

” After that incident happened, I can recall just moving through it and pretending like it never happened, ” the 22- year- old writer continued.

” It affected my school life so much. I always blamed it on not knowing what to do in UNILAG when actually, I’ ve always been fully aware of what I wanted to do. ”

Angel, who grew up with her grandmother, said she went from wanting to be a gynecologist to excelling in English to the point where she won multiple Spelling Bees and improved her writing skills.

” I knew what I wanted to do, ” Angel explained, ” but I didn’ t just do it because I had gone through something so horrible and I didn’ t tell anyone about it, certainly not my granny because I was so ashamed. ”

” No one knew I was out of school until my mother asked, ” she said, ” and I was like, ‘ Let me finally be out with it. ‘ ”

” I certainly did not tell her what happened when I told her that and she questioned why, I just told her I wasn’ t sure I was on the right track she then put me in a foundational program in the United Kingdom, which I also dropped out of. ”

She stated that she was left out since she didn’ t know what she wanted to accomplish with her life at the time.
