Nick Cannon Considers Vasectomy After Having 4 kids In 5yrs
American actor, Nick Cannon appears to be done adding to his family. After having seven children – including four in the past 5 years – the television personality revealed he’s considering a vasectomy.
“I don’t know if I would’ve designed it this way, but it’s one of those things when you’re blessed with the gifts of children—and as we all know, I’ve been through so much, I find solace,” Nick said during an appearance on E! News’ Daily Pop.
“I find peace in my children and I find purpose,” he continued. “So, I’m not out here looking.”
He also confirmed he’s taking steps to ensure he doesn’t have any more children, planned or otherwise.
“I already went and got my vasectomy consultation,” the comedian added. “I ain’t looking to populate the Earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have.”
Why Nick Cannon Is Done Having Kids
“The Masked Singer” and “Wild ‘N Out” host opened up on why he chose not to have kids anymore, especially since he’s been vocal in the past about wanting a large family. Nick says it is becoming a herculean task to split between work and his kids
“I do have the guilt of not having enough time to spend with all of my children, as we all do because we’re working and constantly going,” he shared. “Especially right now when they’re younger.”
Last fall, Nick hinted that he may be done having children after he revealed he took a vow of abstinence. “I’m kind stepping away, getting focused, going within, getting my celibacy on,” he said during an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast.
“I have enough children, enough frolicking. I’m good right now,” he continued. “I’m trying. I didn’t say I’m perfect.” Nick added he was aiming to make his celibacy last until the following year.
