Nigerians are still in disbelief over the killing of Deborah Samuel, a 200 level female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education.

It was reported that a students riot ensued over Samuel for making snide remarks about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on a students WhatsApp group.

Public Relations Officer, ASP Sanusi Abubakar in a statement on Thursday said students retrieved Ms. Samuel from a security room where she was kept for safety and stoned and burned her to death.

The news has since sent the Nigerian media space into a frenzy as netizens heavily condemn the gruesome act. A photo fast circulating on social media shows the remains of Deborah Samuel after she was set ablaze by an irate mob on Thursday afternoon.
