UCL: Insurmountable Liverpool Progress To Final In Paris – How It Happened


Liverpool have progressed to the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League Final in Paris after defeating La Liga side, Villarreal in Spain Tuesday night.

Jürgen Klopp’s men showed character after conceding 2 first half goals but  Three second half goals from the reds was enough to grab them a ticket for the finals in May 28 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France.

The hosts responded strongly to 2-0 loss in the reverse leg at Anfield. Villarreal drew first blood as Boulaye Dia taps the in the ball from close range on inside 3minutes.

The reds became insurmountable for a tired Villarreal side when Sadio Mane employed maximum composure in seeing off a perfect counter attack in the 74th minute. Liverpool won the semi-final tie 5-2 on aggregate as they qualify for the UCL finals while keeping their hopes of unprecedented Quadruple alive.

English side, Manchester City faces Real Madrid in Bernabue on Wednesday night after a thrilling reverse fixture that ended 4-3 in Etihad.
