The Met Gala is widely regarded as the most important night of the year in fashion. The head-turning event failed to hold in 2020 and was postponed to September 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The primary purpose of the gala which is graced by the crème de la crème in entertainment and culture and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is to raise funds for the museum’s Costume Institute.

This edition was themed “In America: A Fashion Anthology,” following “In America: A Fashion Lexicon.”
