Real Madrid Wins 35th La Liga Title In Grand Style

Real Madrid has renews their stake as the Spanish giant after winning their 35th La Liga title on Saturday.

Real Madrid secured the title with four
LaLiga fixtures remaining after a resounding  4-0 win over Espanyol on Match Day 34.

The Los Blancos went into Saturday’s
game at the Santiago Bernabeu bearing in mind that all but a point would be enough to seal up the title leaving them with 17 points ahead of second place, Sevilla.

But anything other than a home win never
looked likely after Rodrygo opened the
scoring in the 33rd minute, with Carlos Ancelloti’s men cruising to a comfortable victory despite significant squad rotation.
Rodrygo made it 2-0 10 minutes later,
before Marco Asensio and substitute Karim
Benzema added to the score in the second
half.

Success in this campaign represents a maiden Spanish league title for Carlo Ancelotti who’s on his second spell at the club.

Real Madrid’s aim is for ‘the double’ as they set out to recover the one goal deficit after a thrilling 4-3 Champions League defeat at the Etihad last Tuesday.

The return leg is billed for Wednesday, May 4 2022.
