Reactions: Nigerians Bite Dust as Ghana Wins World Cup Spot On Away Goal
Super Eagles of Nigeria have failed to qualify for the Qatar 2020 World cup after losing to West African Neighbours, Ghana. The Black Stars had a hard-earned 1-1 draw in Abuja, as they qualify through the away goal rule.
The visitors took the early lead as skipper, Thomas Partey fired in a strike from the edge of the box which went through Francis Uzoho in the Nigerian goal. A clumsy moment for the goalie that gave the away side the lead early on.

Nigeria regained control of the game and equalized after Ademola Lookman was brought down in the box by Dennis Odoi. The decision went to VAR and William Troost-Ekong, despite the doubts, sent the Ghanaian keeper the wrong way.
Nigeria thought they had usurped Ghanaians in the 34th minute with a goal by Osihmen, but were aggrieved when VAR ruled out the strike for offside.
The Super Eagles dominated the second half with 60% possession and managed nine shots but only one managed to bring Joe Wollacott into action.
Ghana held on for five minutes of added time as they advanced to the World Cup finals for the first time since 2014.
Reactions have since trailed the West African Derby as social media users from both countries battle for supremacy.
The Nigerians are definitely going for broke in the social media banter hurled at them from Ghanaian nationals.
