Ghanaians Laugh At Nigeria For Failing To Qualify For the World Cup
The second leg tie between Nigeria and Ghana played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, 29 March, 2022 ended in a stalemate. Goals from Thomas Partey and William Troost-Ekong ensured that the sides ended the match with a draw.
Going by FIFA’s away goal rule, the result all but ensured that Nigeria would not participate in the FIFA world cup in Qatar at the end of the year.

The result follows a disappointing 2nd round ouster, the super Eagles suffered at the just concluded AFCON.
Adding additional pain to the defeat for Nigeria, was that it came at the hands of its biggest rival on the continent, Ghana. Both African countries have carried on a rivalry that has lasted decades ranging from sports to politics and most importantly Jollof Rice.

Earlier in the year, Nigerians haplessly trolled Ghanaians after their first-round exit from the just concluded AFCON.
Ghanaians took no time in getting their pound of flesh by laughing hysterically at Nigerians on social media.
Below are some of their reactions:

Some Ghanaian Twitter users threw jibes at Nigerians using Wizkid and Tems’ hit track, Essence.

For others, they decided to hilariously intertwine Nigeria’s exit with the drama that ensued between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the just concluded Oscars.
So nigerians really thought they were going to qualify.
No matter how bad black stars, #BlackStars is not nigeria.
