In a video fast making the rounds online, Ghanaian players were seen running to safety in Abuja as pitch invaders believed to be Nigerians, storm the pitch to attack the winning team.
he second leg tie between Nigeria and Ghana played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, 29 March, 2022 ended in a stalemate. Goals from Thomas Partey and William Troost-Ekong ensured that the sides ended the match with a draw.
Going by FIFA’s away goal rule, the result all but ensured that Nigeria would not participate in the FIFA world cup in Qatar at the end of the year.
