Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy in routine fashion, stirred reactions online after he declared himself as the highest-paid musician in the history of Africa.
He made this declaration through his Twitter account on Saturday, March 26, where he was quoted as saying
“I said money doesn’t satisfy me and it’s my truth but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m the highest-paid artist in the history of African music. Believe it or not.”

As if to back up this statement, Burna Boy took to his Instagram account to inform fans on how much it cost to purchase and import his Lamborghini to Lagos, Nigeria.
He reportedly stated that purchase and transportation costs raked up to $800,000 (Over 450 million Naira when converted to Nigeria’s currency using parallel market rates).
This is coming after Burna Boy sold out the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, becoming the first Nigerian act to sell out the 13,000-capacity arena. The Multiple-award-winning Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy is also the first Nigerian artiste to sell out the 20,300 capacity Accor Arena in Paris, France twice in their career.
